In the spring of this year, the Mevahoi Firdavs cooperative from the north of Tajikistan opened its doors for an exchange visit to its partners from Kyrgyzstan. Active farmers and members of the Ak-Dobo cooperative, representatives of partner organizations — AgroLead, TES Centre, processing enterprise Sun Planet Organic, and private processors from the Alabukin district and the city of Kara-Kul were introduced to the methods of harvesting, drying and processing of apricots in Jamoat Oshoba, Asht district.
This event was made possible thanks to the project CANDY IV — Specialised & integrated services for export-oriented food processing SMEs under the EU Central Asia Invest IV program, which previously supported the establishment of agricultural farmer cooperatives in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
One of the important elements of the exchange visit was a visit to the office of Neksigol Mushovir, where the participants were presented with the work done to introduce the organic, Fairtraide and Global GAP standards.
